Since the beginning through to today, Easy Verification has a focused mission to deliver a true closed-loop verification solution. We set out to build an easy way for business and institutions to help meet regulatory obligations for sound financial transactions such as a mortgages, financial aid, and benefits or loans, and to keep true to our core principles of safeguarding the privacy and security of information entrusted to us. We treat all information shared online and offline as sensitive and confidential. Simply put, we do not sell, share, rent or aggregate personal information to anyone, for any reason, at any time, with the exception of the IRS.

Easy Verification is committed to protecting information while it's in our custody. Changes to our Privacy Policy will be made periodically to cover the new features and capabilities added to our website and/or EVI API, and as required by government, industry and clients. We make improvements for a better User experience, plus privacy and security enhancements with each release of our web-based applications. The Privacy Policy may be supplemented by additional Terms and/or the Service Agreement consummated by our clients in connection with a specific service provided by Easy Verification. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and review it for the latest information about Easy Verification's privacy practices. Easy Verification will routinely update this Privacy Policy to clarify our practices, or to reflect new or different privacy practices, or in response to changes to privacy regulation, such as when we add new services, functionality or features to the Sites. You can determine when this Privacy Policy and Terms were last revised by referring to the date above.

Easy Verification is committed to being transparent about who we are, what we do, how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, store and dispose of, the information we receive.

Our business model is straightforward: For a fee paid by our client, and with their consumer's written consent, we obtain specific taxpayer data, non-public and public information, as authorized. The information is encrypted and transferred using the same security that banks use. The information is made available to our client's authorized delegated User for the specific purpose of verifying information provided by, and in connection with, a transaction initiated by our client's consumer. The information storage is time-bound so as to limit archiving capabilities on our systems, in order to keep the information safe, secure and only temporarily available. Some information as required by the IRS is stored offline in an encrypted state for up to 5 years. Once expired, we dispose of the information. It is permanently deleted, unrecoverable and/or shredded. The only exception would be to comply with a legal subpoena or order, or to reasonably cooperate with law enforcement or other credentialed governmental or investigative agencies, in which case, such shared information is encrypted, and moved offline to a data vault for a specified maximum time-frame. Our work is performed within the United States. We do not outsource work to any third-party entity nor store information offshore.

Except as stated herein, this Privacy Policy applies to any and all personally-identifying and non-personally-identifying information collected on Sites or provided offline or transmitted electronically to Easy Verification in connection with services or transactions.

By using the Sites, you agree to the Terms and this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described in the Terms or this Privacy Policy do not contact us, interact with the website or EVI API, or provide Easy Verification with any personal or company information, whether on behalf of you, a company, or any other person or entity.

What you should know

All personal information provided to us is voluntary.

Taxpayer: We don't "monetize" personal information shared with Easy Verification. Ever.
Client/User: We don't "partner", "affiliate", or "barter" with any other organization to sell or rent or aggregate company accounts, any account information shared with Easy Verification.

Personal Information Collection

To become a client and/or User, you must open an account with Easy Verification ("Account").

Account Information To open an Account, and to begin the registration process, you must submit a request through our Sign Up page, or by email, fax, or telephone call. We will ask for your name, company name, and other pertinent information including the purpose and intended use of our services, all of which is necessary to determine your qualifications as an Account holder. It is important that you provide accurate and complete information in response to our questions. The Sign Up page will ask you to prove you are not a robot by using ReCaptcha, an API from Google. Please read their Privacy and Terms. Providing this information does not guarantee approval or Account activation.

By clicking the Sign Up button, you confirm that you are either the individual or a verifiable active business entity authorized to conduct business by the federal, state(s) and/ or other regulatory body in which you operate. You acknowledge that the services and your Easy Verification Account may only be used for legitimate business purposes in the United States of America, and you acknowledge that the services and the results information may be subject to Taxpayer First Act provision limits on re-disclosure of consent-based disclosure Section 2202 of the Taxpayer First Act amended the provisions of IRC Section 6103(c). You may not export or resell to any other party the services or results information provided by Easy Verification, whether directly or indirectly and you acknowledge that the services may be subject to export restrictions imposed by U.S. law, including U.S. Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. Chapter VII).

Verification We will verify the information you provide including name, company name, address, telephone, website, geolocation, IP address, etc. We will not respond if the information you provided is unverifiable. We reserve the right to deny any request at any time, for any reason without explanation.

Your Account If your request for an Account is approved, Easy Verification will request additional information from you including Account Set-Up instructions, proof of identity of the President, CEO or other Member, Partner or officer who can legally bind the company, as well as your internal policies and procedures relating to compliance, identity proofing for authorized Users, safeguarding taxpayer data, etc. For example, Easy Verification will ask you for valid proof of identity, a business license, or other information. Easy Verification may also ask for permission to inspect your business location at any time, with or without advanced notice. If you refuse any of these requests, your Easy Verification Account may be suspended or terminated, in Easy Verification's sole discretion.

Personal information that a User submits to Easy Verification

This may be personal information such as name, company name, title, address, email address, telephone number, fax number, cell phone number and other contact details in connection with an Easy Verification service, 4506-C requests and orders, submissions, community surveys, newsletter subscriptions, general enquiries or inquiries, event registrations, etc.

Personal information received from a third party

This may include personal information such as name, aliases, employer, social security numbers (SSN/ITIN), employer/employee identification numbers (EIN), addresses, tax forms filed, tax years filed, tax information to confirm identity, income, tax liabilities and/or other information necessary to process a request, an application, or a 4506-C.

IRS has implemented a change in format of tax transcripts for better taxpayer data protection. The masked tax transcript began delivery as of January 1st, 2019, and limits identity information to display the following data:

Last four digits of SSN/EIN
Last four digits of account or telephone number
First four characters of the last name (or business entity)
First six characters of the street address, including spaces

Financial entries on all masked tax transcripts continue to be fully visible.

Automatically logged information

Easy Verification's website and/or EVI API may automatically record information that is sent by the User's browser when accessing the Sites. This information may include information such as IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, page viewed, errors, operating system, mobile device data, and other similar data. Easy Verification uses this information to analyze usage for the purpose of improving website and/or EVI API performance and services.

Cookies and other User tracking devices (e.g., local shared objects) may be stored on the User's computer when using Easy Verification's website. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a User's computer for record-keeping purposes. Easy Verification uses session ID cookies to confirm that a User is logged in. These cookies terminate once the User closes the browser. Easy Verification may also deploy persistent cookies to improve User services, including by storing User preferences and tracking User trends. While most browsers are set to accept cookies and other tracking devices by default, Users are always free to decline cookies if the browser permits, however this may affect the website or User service working properly. The browser manufacturer has information on changing the default setting for that specific browser. User acknowledges the use of such tracking devices referenced in this Privacy Policy, and hereby consents to having such tracking devices stored on the User's computing devices.

Personal Consumer Information Use

Generally, Easy Verification will use personal information to:

Provide services as requested by the client User and with the consent of their consumer (individual, married filing joint or entity taxpayer).
Assist in the performance of activities and public interest functions.
Perform relevant contractual and legal obligations with the client User and other third parties.
Improve Easy Verification's website and content.
Assist in policy discussion and development activities.
Enforce agreements, terms, rules and regulations.

Easy Verification will not use personal information for any purpose other than that for which it was collected, unless:

The client and/or User has consented.
Easy Verification is required to disclose that information by law or to otherwise protect Easy Verification's business and personnel, a User, or the public's interest (such as in the case of a law enforcement or governmental agency investigation).
Easy Verification is permitted to include User's personal information in publishing a User's comments or feedback on the Easy Verification website for the benefit of other Users.

Unauthorized or Illegal Use

You are prohibited from reselling or sharing your Account credentials. You are prohibited from, permitting access, sharing, printing, and publishing or distributing any and all information and material provided by and through the Sites with anyone, at any time, without the prior written consent of Easy Verification officials.

Accessing and Updating Personal Information

The User may request access to their personal information held by Easy Verification (if any) to verify if it is complete and accurate. Easy Verification will endeavor to respond to valid and authentic requests to access correct or update personal information retained by Easy Verification, if appropriate. Easy Verification will retain personal information stored on our servers in accordance with our general archival practices, Service Agreement and as required or permitted by applicable law.

Sharing, Disclosing, Transfer and Retention of Personal Information

Easy Verification may, on the rare occasion, share certain personal information with authorized contractors and other agents for the purpose of processing this information on Easy Verification's behalf, and providing other Services to Easy Verification or to the User on behalf of Easy Verification. Easy Verification requires that these parties agree to handle this information in compliance with appropriate confidentiality obligations and security measures.

Easy Verification will provide personal information to third parties, government authorities and agencies as and when required to: (i) comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process or enforceable governmental request; (ii) protect Easy Verification's or a third party's legal rights; (iii) receive contracted services or use of licensed products from third party providers; (iv) comply with any court order or legal proceeding; (v) comply with Easy Verification's accountability and transparency principles and disclosure policy; (vi) detect, prevent or otherwise address suspicious, fraudulent or other suspected criminal activity or errors, security or technical issues; or (vii) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of Easy Verification, our Users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Easy Verification will not sell or otherwise share any personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes. Easy Verification will not provide any personal information to any third parties for commercial services unless the User have given specific permission or direction.

Information Security and Integrity

Easy Verification will use reasonable industry standard safeguards (which may include physical, procedural and technical measures) to protect against the unauthorized disclosure of personal information it collects and holds. Easy Verification will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information collected is complete and relevant to its intended use. Easy Verification is not responsible for any unauthorized disclosure once accessed or downloaded by client or User.

Easy Verification‘s website may contains links to other third-party websites which are subject to the respective privacy policies of those third parties. Easy Verification is not responsible for the privacy practices of such linked third-party websites, and their owners and operators.

Due to the open communication nature of the Internet, Easy Verification cannot represent, warrant or guarantee that communications stored on Easy Verification servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties, loss, misuse or alterations. While Easy Verification will take reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of personal information received, EASY VERIFICATION DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR USE OR COMPROMISE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. USERS ARE ADVISED THAT THEY SUBMIT SUCH PERSONAL INFORMATION AT THEIR OWN RISK.

International Transfers

By using our website or providing Easy Verification with personal information online, the User is directly transferring personal information and non-identifiable information to Easy Verification within the United States. Information may be transferred and processed in locations where Easy Verification or service providers are located.

If the User works outside the United States, and uses the Sites or provides Easy Verification with personal information directly via the website, or EVI API, such use and information will handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The User is solely responsible for compliance with any data protection or privacy obligations in the User's jurisdiction when using the website or providing Easy Verification with personal information. Easy Verification requires the immediate notification of any client and/or User requesting or exporting personal data on any EU citizen (US taxpayer) obtained by us and destined to transfer to a company outside the United States and/or into the European Union and the European Economic Area (EU and EEA). The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on May 25, 2018, and was designed to modernize laws that protect the personal information of individuals. If applicable, a Special Service Agreement may be required.

Minors

EASY VERIFICATION does not knowingly collect or require personal information from persons under the age of 18.
